Our expectations

 

As the national leader of the Distribution Centre’s Learning and Development team, you will be responsible to create the DC Learning and Development strategy while breaking down existing barriers and forming a new framework that promotes cross-functional teamwork and progresses best-in-class training programs harmonized across the regions. Your work will include mentoring the Distribution Center Learning Advisors, championing alignment projects, developing our people and driving employee culture/engagement throughout the regions.​

 

 

Your role

 

  • Develop and steward L&D strategy for the Distribution Network
  • Create and maintain budget to support the L&D strategy and regional initiatives
  • Standardize training programs across the regions
  • Create and govern DC content on SharePoint page
  • Collaborate with Head Office L&D team to develop learning content and leverage existing resources for DC Network
  • Promote and support Cross-function Teamwork
  • Educate and Coach Leadership on L&D principles including employee engagement and recognition
  • Endorse project rollouts and alignment created by the L&D advisors
  • Assess the effectiveness of training tools, solutions, and channels and work with internal experts to identify learning gaps, analyze, elaborate, or modify the programs as required
  • In collaboration with Safety teams, ensure timely and effective delivery of safety programs
  • Ensure DC’s are in compliance with local/federal regulations
  • Other Duties as assigned

 

 

The qualifications we are looking for

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
  • 3-5 years previous experience within a leadership role which includes managing a team with varying levels of experience in developing and implementing training programs for various groups
  • Familiarity with Distribution Center operations
  • Demonstrated team-building skills and ability to build rapport and trust with others
  • Experience and willingness to coach others
  • Priority setting skills to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Approaches change optimistically; adjusts quickly and proficiently to changing work environment
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
